EdgeRouter PoE Eth1 Port

Hello All,

I've just bought one ER PoE to replace my ER Lite replacing all the PoE injectors for UniFi's.... :smileyhappy:

When I try to configure the PoE on Eth1 port from CLI or GUI the router return the message "Error: carrier detected while trying to enable 24v". I see some post's were in forum saying that the problem is related with one protection that avoid PoE to comes ON if there is some Link in the ethernet port, but in my case the port is empty.

Can someone please help me undestranding what is happening?!

Brs,

Marco Silva

Re: EdgeRouter PoE Eth1 Port

That's very odd.  Does it happen on the other ports?  Version of code?

Re: EdgeRouter PoE Eth1 Port

The other ports works well and I can switch on and off the PoE without any problem.

The fw version is v1.3.0

Thanks for the support,

Marco silva

Re: EdgeRouter PoE Eth1 Port

The software doesn't control the carrier light and yet the light is on.  So this seems like a hardware issue. Contact support@ubnt.com for an RMA.

Re: EdgeRouter PoE Eth1 Port

I will contact the support team to try to get some answers.

The issue is very tricky, as far as I plug the power adaptor the carrier light turn on immediately.

Thanks for the suport,

Marco
