I have a new installation of Unifi. I downloaded and installed v2.1.0, connected an AP. The unit shows up in the management screen, but says adoption failed. The IP address shown is outside the range of IP's on my network. It shows 192.168.1.20. My network starts with 192.168.2.x with a subnet of 255.255.0.0. Gateway is 192.168.2.1. I clicked on the device in the management screen and changed the IP from DHSP to Static. Set an IP address, the subnet, and the gateway and clicked "Apply". The changes do not work. Unit still shows IP address of 192.168.1.20. and still shows "Adoption Failed". How do I set the IP address to something in my range?

I have the same issue but my PC running the Unifi Controller software has two network cards, one in the 192.168.1.X/24 subnet and the other in the 192.168.0.X/24 subnet (no routing service enabled) I only have the gateway set on the 192.168.0.X interface. Does the controller service have to be on only one subnet? I have reset the Unifi device restarted the controller, attempted to set the IP to static thru the controller but the AP will not complete its adoption. I also have the new beta software and the Unifi device has the 22.214.171.1240 version. Any ideas on what to try next? The only thing I can think of is disabling the other card. Which I will have to do on-site the next time I get there.
