Pro AirCam

Any availability estimation? Was the price announced? Under $200 or $300?
I vote for 17GHz AirFiber version:icon_lol: .

Somewhere on the forum there is a picture from Chicago with the powerpoint slide about the aircam. It's *very* different than the current camera.

Re: Pro AirCam

Мне очень нравится внешний вид, довольно таки грозно выглядит. Вот только не могу понять есть ли на ней ИК подсветка, и какой объектив - вари фокальный?

They look pretty sweet, very beefy. I'm going to get one for my wife to keep under the drivers seat when she travels. An attacker would be like "What the ___k is that!?!" before he gets knocked out. It would help in a self-defense case too, "I just grabbed whatever I could and it was something my husband left in the car."... haha

Seems quite good enough and fulfilling requirements.

Re: Pro AirCam

I'd pay a few hundred bucks for a PTZ with 20x optical and IR illuminators built onto the face of the camera lens housing so when it turns it would also illuminate out 50' or so in pitch black.

You would pay more than a few hundred bucks for that.
edit: for a decent one anyway

I'd pay a thousand for that, easy. I'm paying $2400 right now a pop for a 720p camera. Paid $3700/each for the freaking Axis Q6032-E 1080P camera which is absurd. Don't need the arctic heater/blower, just need good optics, zoom, and h.264 adjustable compression.

WiFi would be a nice feature too..

Re: Pro AirCam

Sure would be nice if they had some sort of adapter so you could connect the camera to a dish arm. Anyone seen anything like that for the aircams???

Yes, the PRO version will have IR... It was showed at the World Conference.

I will attach a few pics of what they assume it to look like..

Re: Pro AirCam

So now we know that IR is coming any idea on when the release date is or is it going to be like last years cameras when Ubiquity expected a March release date and then its Sept/Oct before we got our orders?

Thanks for the replies on this subject, I appreciate it.

Re: Pro AirCam

Looks like they still don't know.. In the meantime i can't wait any longer as my customers are complaining where there cams are staying. I'm switching to a different brand as i can't tell em a date and an expected pricing.
Sorry guys. It all takes to long. At least a decent reply from ubnt would be in place with some date/pricing/feature list in it.
