Interface selection for mdns reflector

Submitted by -
Status: New Idea

The mdns reflector service configurable via CLI is very useful for enabling automatic device discovery across multiple subnets, but currently it's all-or-nothing. When enabled, it will forward requests over all interfaces, including WAN. This is generally a bad idea, since it leaks information about the local network into the ISP's local subnet.

avahi-daemon.conf does contain an allow-interfaces option to control which interfaces the service operates on. This should be added to the EdgeOS configuration. As a bonus, this would allow avahi to operate on vtun interfaces (which it normally ignores).

Also, it would be nice to move to avahi version 0.6.29 or newer, since older versions apparently have a bug preventing them from working with point to point interfaces anyway.

"service mdns repeater" seems to do that, no?
