1.5 and WAN DHCP DNS

I have searched but cannot find the thread I saw a couple months ago about WAN DHCP and DNS.  It was my understanding at the time that if you used DHCP on the WAN interface then the DNS servers that the ISP assigned were used by the ERL no matter what you put in the Name Server field under Basic Settings/System.  Then it seemed like someone said that would be fixed in 1.5. So my questions are:

1) Prior to 1.5 does the ERL have to use the DNS server assigned by the ISP if it used DHCP on the WAN interface?

2) If so did version 1.5 fix this so that if you manually put in your DNS servers and they will override that is sent by the ISP?

Thanks.

Re: 1.5 and WAN DHCP DNS

Sounds like you might be talking about:

configure
set interfaces ethernet eth0 address dhcp
set interfaces ethernet eth0 dhcp-options name-server no-update
commit
save
exit

Re: 1.5 and WAN DHCP DNS

I can confirm that those command is not working on 1.5rc1, the name server address is still hijacked by the ISP's DHCP settings after apply those command and reboot.

Well it could be getting it from somewhere else, but we won't know till we see your configuration.  Also the contents of /etc/resolv.conf
