I think i've found a bug regarding pppoe sessions and snmp (v2c). Once the pppoe-session gets terminated by the provider and reestablished, snmp recognized the new session as new identifier. So if you're using a monitoring software to monitor a pppoe-session, it looses the id after a certain amount of time (24h) and cant find it anymore.
The OID is a new one so my monitoring cant keep monitoring and i need to rebuild the sensors .. this is kinda frustating. Is there any fix around?
P.S.: Reason i've found it after 2 years is that i just got my 2nd backup line (DSL) next to my cable and fibre connections.

Update: It seems to be a duplicate of the following bugreport:
This bug exists since nearly 2 years? Are you kidding me ???

will this ever be fixed? Has anyone found a solution?
I ran into the same issue after setting up the monitoring (also using Zabbix). When the PPPoE is restarted, it gets a new ID and all data and monitoring triggers are useless as it's discovered as a new interface. Incredible that this issue exists that long
