DCHP Broadcast

I have recently installed an Edge Router x SFP firmware v1.9, this is configure with port 0 being PPPoe - No DHCP server has been configured and the router has a static ip address 192.168.100.1. My problem appears to be since replacing the existing router my SBS 2008 server which has DHCP enable is issueing ip addresses to the isp network on the wan?! Does anyone have an ideas and or suggestions how to resolve this? I have not experienced this issue in the past?

Many thanks

Re: DCHP Broadcast

If the eth0 is a routed interface (doesn't belong to the switch0), you may try to update the bootloader

Re: DCHP Broadcast

I've loaded the update and rebooted but the SBS server is still issuing ip's over the WAN via the router, any further suggestions?

Re: DCHP Broadcast

Better check your wiring.  Without dhcp-relay enabled on the ER, no dhcp traffic will ever be forwarded.

Probably someone put a cable between WAN and LAN network, turning it into a single broadcast domain
