I am concerned about upgrading. Has anyone tested this version with a fiber to the home installation. I currently have an ER3 Lite on a really old version because it does not limit the download speeds to nothing on fiber internet. Everything after 1.8 limits the download speeds to nothing while allowing full upload speeds. I have 170/170 and I get 40/170. This is with hardware offloading enabled across all interfaces.

I have ERLs (among others) in multiple installs with symmetric gigabit service and have no issues such as what you see across 1.9.x or the new 1.10.0
You may want to start a separate thread with details and include your sanitized config as a starting point. It never hurts to have extra eyes look over a config and you may find someone else with a solution ready to go.

I upgraded my Edgerouter Lite 3 yesterday evening from 1.9.7+fix4 and everything went fine!
I used the IOS app UNMS for the upgrade (i took first a config backup in the app).
And... router performance increased + the users told me that internet is faster & more responsive after the upgrade. So very nice!
Keep up the good work, and i hope that firmware upgrades will come faster from now (previous update was from 10/2017...)

> IPSEC performance definitely increased. Gained 25 mbps up and down.
- What was max VPN speed in previous version?
- What was previous f/w version before upgrade?
> When can we expect the GPL archives to be released?
I will upload 1.10.0 and GPL code to download.ubnt.com next week
> Just curious what it does and what will not happen between it crashing and being restarted.
It's a daemon that is responsible for doing LoadBalancing and other system-level stuff.
If ubnt-util dies then it is restored by ubnt-daemon watchdog and continues it continue where it left off.
Please try *Ssh recovery* which allows admin to login router on early boot stage even if configurtion was corrupted

It's first time I here this. Has this been discussed anywhere on forum?
BTW ER-Lite does not have fiber interface, so that makes you think it is fiber related?
Please post your configuration, I will try to reproduce this issue in lab.

Upgraded my ERL over a week ago using UNMS with no issues noted until I checked my logs and started seeing the following, doesn't seem to impact the performance of the router, just not something I had ever seen in my logs previous to 1.10.

Not sure if this is worth mentioning but I upgraded our Edgemax Lite router from 1.9.7 Hotfix 4 to 1.10 yesterday and after the successful installation and reboot of the router our L2TP VPN setup had been totally deleted from the router although the firewall rules remained. I can't see any reason why that would have happened. Happily we had a currect backup so we restored and all was well but I thought I would mention it...
02-09-2018 08:38 AM
@johntankard Yep happened to me too. Had to reconfigure from scratch since the backup file wouldn't allow the WAN connection to trigger. Everything is fine now!

Great and fast update. Running fine for > 10 days now making use of internet/iptv/voip. Upgraded from 1.9.7hf4 on Edgerouter-X.

i upgraded from 1.9.7 hotfix 4 and the device didnt come up again. How does the ssh recovery works? i don't have access to the beta site. Is it possible to upgrade the device again via ssh recovery? and i also don't have an USB-TTL converter.

Is this new software ready for release? I dont see it in the official download section for the ER-X (last one is v1.9.7+hotfix.4).
Seeing some people reported bricking their device, I think I will get myself a USB-TTL converter before attempting the upgrade on production equipement. Unless the ssh-recovery method can be properly explained on this forum.

@finality@Delta313All you need to do is go into your profile and click the checkbox to add yourself to the beta group.
I installed 1.10 on three ERX SFPs and one ERX and it works just fine.

At the begining of this thread i believe there is a link to download the 1.10.0
Mine downloaded fine and when i hit reboot i couldnt connect to it for about 30 seconds.. well once it finally finished i could connect no problem.. it just doesnt give you any indication its rebooting.
