EdgeOS v1.5.0 Dynamic update password fail due to character filter in GUI

I noticed some odd GUI behavior while attempting to get DYN dynamic update to work.

EdgeOS v1.5.0 EdgeRouter PoE

From the Services/DNS on the GUI the password will not take a '$' as a character in the password.  It also drops the character following the '$':

In the GUI Password field:

abcdef$12345 will show up as abcdef2345 in the config.boot file

However:

abcdef12345 will show up correctly as abcdef12345 in the config.boot file

abcdef@12345 will show up correctly as abcdef@12345 in the config.boot file

abcdef&12345 will show up correctly as abcdef&12345 in the config.boot file

It's odd and may have something to do with how passwords are being validated by the javascript.

I can hand jam it into the config.boot file, using vim, then save it, afterall it's not hashed.

ubnt@Edge:~$ vi /config/config.boot
ubnt@Edge:~$ configure
[edit]
ubnt@Edge# load
Loading configuration from '/config/config.boot'...
Load complete. Use 'commit' to make changes active.
[edit]
ubnt@Edge# commit
[edit]
ubnt@Edge#

I tried on both Chrome and Firefox, same result.

Hope this helps someone.

As always thanks to Ubiquiti for the nice gear, at a price point that helps me close the deal.

John

Yeah that looks like an issue with the script for the DDNS page and we'll need to fix it. Thanks for reporting!
