IPV6 on VLAN switch

Hi,

I am running 2.01 on an Edgerouter X with a recently rebuilt config.  I have a HENet tunnel up and running with a /48 assigned and I have multiple VLANs configured on switch0.

The radvd on the default VLAN is handing out IPv6 addresses exactly as I have configured.  The radvd, which is configured exactly the same does not hand out addresses.  I am using a zone firewall with both switch0 and switch0.1 in the same 'int' zone.

Here is the config:

 address 192.168.0.1/24
 address xxx:xxx:6df0::1/64
 description Local
 firewall {
     in {
         modify balance
     }
 }
 ipv6 {
     dup-addr-detect-transmits 1
     router-advert {
         cur-hop-limit 64
         default-preference high
         link-mtu 0
         managed-flag false
         max-interval 10
         other-config-flag true
         prefix xxx:xxx:6df0::/64 {
             autonomous-flag true
             on-link-flag true
             valid-lifetime 2592000
         }
         reachable-time 0
         retrans-timer 0
         send-advert true
     }
 }
 mtu 1500
 switch-port {
     interface eth0 {
     }
     interface eth1 {
     }
     interface eth2 {
     }
     vlan-aware disable
 }
 vif 1 {
     address 192.168.1.1/24
     address xxx:xxx:6df0:1::1/64
     description "Home Network"
     firewall {
         in {
             modify balance
         }
     }
     ipv6 {
         dup-addr-detect-transmits 1
         router-advert {
             cur-hop-limit 64
             link-mtu 0
             managed-flag false
             max-interval 600
             min-interval 198
             other-config-flag false
             prefix xxx:xxx:6df0:1::/64 {
                 autonomous-flag true
                 on-link-flag true
                 valid-lifetime 2592000
             }
             reachable-time 0
             retrans-timer 0
             send-advert true
         }
     }
     mtu 1500
 }

Same client with interfaces on VLAN1 and default will get IPV6 assignment on 192.168.0.x/24 network but will not get a IPv6 on 192.168.1.x/24 network.  IPv4 gets assigned to both.

This used to work, not sure what I have done as I have basically copied across the cli commands from the old working config.

Dont think its firewall as they are both in ths same zone.

Suggestions?

Re: IPV6 on VLAN switch

Your main problem is running 2.0.1 on a er-x.

Re: IPV6 on VLAN switch

There have been previous reports of IPv6 bugs with the 2.xx software, so you may just be running into one of those.  Try a search in here if want more detail, or try it with 1.9 and see if you get a different result.
