Re: IPv6 only PPPoE = FAIL

Ah , you are already orderd with IPoE. I just understand it.

>Does this mean I have a /64 subnet assigned to myself or is it a single address?

You have /64 subnet.

>How do I get the router advertisements from outside the network to propagate inside?

Most easiest way is buy another BroadBandRouter which supported IPv6 pass-through function(Buffalo or something).

Or

you may use protocol vlan for pass-through only IPv6 by another intelligent switch .

I'm not answer solution only EdgeRouter now. Try googling.

Keyword is "IPv6 pass-through" or " IPv6 only bridge" and so on.

Re: IPv6 only PPPoE = FAIL

I use my LAN for more than just distributing the internet and have servers that should be only accessible internally. In short, I need to be able to filter packets at the gateway and bridging the way you suggest would prevent that.

Are you telling me NTT really expects people to just have their devices accessible over the internet with no protection? That seems insane.

Re: IPv6 only PPPoE = FAIL

A thought: I’d the prefix static? What if I set up the LAN interface to broadcast router advertisements for the same prefix?

Re: IPv6 only PPPoE = FAIL

Understood. You want to use ipv6 firewall.
You may back to IPoE to PPPoE ipv6.
Im not sure EdgwRouer can do it that IPv6 NAT can do it on IPOE environment.
