Question about the article on setting up dnsmasq

I have a question about the help article "EdgeRouter - Using dnsmasq for DHCP Server".

My question is about:

Step 2: Adjust DNS Forwarding, DHCP, and System settings
substep 7. Set static host mapping for local device.

The article is for EdgeRouters, but the example for "local device" is a Cloud Key. Is local device supposed to be the device dnsmasq will be running on? Or is that meant to be "local devices", plural, meaning all devices attached to the EdgeRouter that need static IPs. For example, any UAPs, a Cloud Key, switches, etc.

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Question about the article on setting up dnsmasq

dnsmasq runs on the router only, USG, EdgeRouter, or whatnot

Local devies in this context are those you need dns access to, usually a device with static ip; could include the cloudkey. However, not all devices with static IP need to be defined if you do not need local hostname access to them.
