I also have a MW-UTP-G-US - Maxxwave 1.2Gbit Copper 1000BaseT SFP Fiber Module

localy avalable. Does that one maybe work? http://www.balticnetworks.com/maxxwave-1-2gbit-copper-1000baset-sfp-module.html

I tested some ancient Cisco ones that I pulled out of a WLC. I don't remember the model, but I know I posted it in this thread.

Re: SFP modules compatibility

Hi everyone,

Have any of you found an SFP PON-ONU moudule that will work with the USG-PRO-4? This moudle would allow me to conect the PON fiber my ISP gives me directly, instead of going thru the ISPs ONT box. Something like the one in the picutre attached.

Re: SFP modules compatibility

I'm not aware of any PON SFPs working with UBNT products - although the prices of the ONU SFPs seem to be pretty outrageous so there might not be a very big market for it yet...

[ Edited ]

Guys,
I'm planning to make a list with all SFP/SFP+ connectors and Cables with links to amazon or whatever. And images in a nice overview.

Please email your input like: Device Name, Type / Model number, Brand, Link to web(Shop) and your story with it. You can also link to you post here and i'll add it.

Email to use: ubntlist@gmail.com

I'll also update UBNT staff on a regular base to check our list.

Once the site is up and running next week i'll publish the link hereMan Wink

Why do we want to do this...

1. For the community
2. For our own knowledgebase
3. To get a clear insight with links and images to find what you are looking for right away!

Please do support us by doing this. And lets make a nice listing to get an overview of working models etc.

Re: SFP modules compatibility

I have an Edge Switch 24 Lite and an EdgeRouter X SFP.

I have successfully used 3 different pairs of modules:

FiberStore SFP1G-SX-85

FiberStore SFP1G-SX-31

Dell FTRJ1319P1BTL (Finisar)

There is no choice but to use Auto-Neg on the ER-X-SFP side but the ES24 Lite needs to be set to 1000mbps.

I suspect in most cases the EdgeSwitch will need to be manually set (on both sides if switch to switch) even if the other side is another vendor ( I connected the ES24 Lite to a Dell 6024 through the SFP ports and had to "turn off" auto-neg on both sides. YMMV

Re: SFP modules compatibility

My notes from XG pre-release testing. I haven't gone back to trying the DAC again.

Working

FTTX FT5403D-35/53 (1G BiDi)

FTTX FT5910D-2733/3372 (10G BiDi) @1G and 10G

FTTX FT3910D (10G SM Duplex) @1G and 10G

FiberStore DSFP-10G31-10 (10G SM Duplex) @1G and 10G

FiberStore DSFP-10G85-3M (10G MM Duplex) @1G and 10G

HP 10G SR (10G MM Duplex) @1G and 10G

Cisco SFP-10G-SR (10G MM Duplex) @1G and 10G

Not Working

Anue 200-06-0001 (10G MM Duplex) - 1/2 Link, could be bad optic

CableRack 2.5m SFP+ 10GB 30AWG - No Link. No error.  No SFP insert message, but do get a SFP removed message.

FiberStore 10GSFP-PC-24-* (DAC) 1M and 3M tested - No link and errors

Re: SFP modules compatibility

Has anyone had problems with the FiberPOE's? We use FiberStore 1000BASE-BX SFP 1310nm-TX/1550nm-RX and its mate which work fine in EdgeSwitchs, EdgeSwitch F and the EdgeRouter X SFP but will not work in the FiberPOE. The light turns blue like it has a link when you plug in a lit fiber but they will not pass traffic.

Re: SFP modules compatibility

Hi,

I'm working on a Google Docs Sheet for the modules with information, and links etc.

If you want to help follow the link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_14yLEftvOrmmyi061YoDVb3n51IkMTfOYF1CcII9kI/edit?usp=sharing

And follow my footsteps and add the content like I did.

Everyone can Edit. Also on the website: https://www.edgerouterconfig.nl/ubiquiti-sfp-and-sfp-plus-compatibility-overview/

Soon in the Menu and also in English

Re: SFP modules compatibility

I'm wondering if there is such thing as a compatible SFP+ module with 10Gbe copper available (SFP+ to 10GBaseT)?  I think I read through all the messages on this thread but couldn't find anything.

My ideal scenario would be to come out of my US-48-750w with 10Gbe copper to connect to my HP 10Gbe add-on port in my ProCurve stack with a Cat7 cable.

Re: SFP modules compatibility

[ Edited ]

There are a few 10GBaseT SFP+'s coming onto the market from a variety of vendors like HP or ProLabs.

http://www.prolabs.com/newproduct/10gbase-t-sfp-copper-transceiver/

http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04742287.pdf

I suspect you would have to purchase one and test it like we do for the fiber based SFP+ we are all reporting details on.
