Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

Thank you for all of your efforts. How long do you think it will be before my phone app testing shows the panels?

It should show it right away. Panels will obviously show offline, when there's no sun, but they will/should still appear in the list with the gateway and if you're in Europe also along with the Endrun.

When you receive a solution to your question/issue, don't forget to mark your thread as solved and to give kudos to the people who have helped you out!

Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

I'm assuming that since you see a heartbeat that the firmware is ok.

I'm using the sunmax Install Ubiquiti Networks Inc. 4.0 app

I will check this again tomorrow, they were not showing online yesterday either.

Hi Tim, can you check sunmax Install version to be 1.0.9, build 71?

Have you also checked your site production in the website:  sunmax.ubnt.com logging in with your credentials instead of using the install app? (Just in case)

Thank you

Rechecked your site heartbeats and last heartbeat was received 4 hours  56 minutes ago, have you power off the GW, or removed internet link?

Thank you

Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

I am logged into it now, for the first time ever.

It shows data for December.

https://sunmax.ubnt.com/#/monitor/sites/?qv=ff747862-b98a-4d92-8f9e-8afd4baf1964&type=site&tab=produ...

it appears each day of December  as if it is not able to generate much by 12 noon

@jjpermenter@timbeasley

I am glad you logged-in, since this tool delivers more information about your site than the install app,

it will be nice to keep it handy.

About not able to generate much by noon, this will depend on your region seasonal weather conditions.

Can you please check power production from Jan 3 and Jan 4, 2018?

Dec 7th no data makes sense, I checked this thread history and Dec 7, 2017 was about the time when you uploaded the gateway cloud fw 9.41, and renamed your site.

Please check power production from today, had the system reported any at all?

Thank you,

Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

@timbeasley:

Can you please login  sunmax.ubnt.com and take a snapshot of the panels extended status when there is good weather.

Inverters only report to the cloud during the daytime when they have PV input, so in rainy, foggy conditions during the day there will not be readings.

Another debugging tool is to use ssh to login to your unit, and run command:

 suntop

in the console, it will show you the inverters real time status as seen directly from the gateway,

Thank you

Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

Hello, we believe that there is an issue with the timestamps on the data, the data doesnt show any gradual increase in production.

looking at the portal data it seems to show peak production before sunrise. It also appears that this isn't all the data but perhaps a window of data constrained by the timestamp. In other words if I shine 60000 lumens on this panel from midnight to 2 am and it generates power would the data show up?

In any event how do we fix this so that it shows the correct data?

@timbeasley Thank you for provided screenshots!

We will investigate those. And @UBNT-Carlos will reply.

@timbeasley:

Thank you for the screenshots, and more detailed info.

From the shape of the production data it appears that the power production is normal

since it is has the typical consistent arc shape, however, what is causing the misunderstanding is

that the data shown from the cloud portal is shifted in time, showing peaks at early morning and lows close to noon.

You may ssh the solar-gw  at noon (peak time) and check with the console suntop, and see that the inverters are operating,

and producing power even the cloud data shows otherwise at the moment.

Please let me check this with the cloud team, and come back to you.

Best regards,

Re: I need to know how to get this working again.

Yes I believe that is correct, the other part of the problem is that not all of the data is there clearly there are times when power is being generated but it can not be seen because the code assumes there is no power at that time. if it simply display all data and allowed shifting the time zone there wouldn't be a proble, the end user could fix it,
