Monitoring down since last Friday - time to upgrade now?

I have seen some post before that the cloud based monitoring is going away and now since Friday it seems by inverters are down... but they "should" be up.. I'm not onsite and can't check them this week...

Did the cloud monitoring finally stop and do I need to upgrade now to get the "local" monitoring working again

regards,

Rene'

Hi @techdevils

Cloud function is not cloesd yet.

Please try to reboot your gateway and see the information get back or not.

If you still have no information, please let me know and I will check with cloud team.

Re: Monitoring down since last Friday - time to upgrade now?

@techdevils

I have contacted cloud team and they responded that cloud looks like alive.

They need more information to dig more.

So I'm looking for 1 gateway to test that cloud is alive or not.

Sorry this takes time.

If you are in hurry the other solution is upgrade to 1.0.7 version and you will change to local network

Here is the SOP:

Thank you for your patient.

@techdevils

The cloud service has been restablished.

If you prefer it over the local solution please feel free to re-install it on your solar gateway.

Since you did not erase your gw from your original cloud-site settings, it will recognize it without

needing to re-add all inverters one by one.

Cloud-based SolarGateway FW:

https://www.ubnt.com/download/sunmax/default/default/sunmax-solar-gateway-firmware-v0941

 And please report to us on your connection being restablished once you log in your site successfully,

so we know everything is fine in your site or help you on the debugging process.

If in the other hand, you feel the local gw works ok for you, ignore this message.

Sincere apologies for all the inconveniences,

Regards,

UBNT-Carlos

Re: Monitoring down since last Friday - time to upgrade now?

Carlos,

thanks! I never had the time to switch to local as this is a rmeote site for me...

Seems it works as you said... Guess I leave it alone for now I like the cloud based service.

Remind me, was there a date you going to switch this off for good?

We are keeping sunmax.ubnt.com service we are doing some improvements to make it more stable, and avoid these cloud down episodes. Sincere apologies for the inconveniences.

Thanks a lot,
