Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

Could you help to try the gateway's country and region setting as Czech and cz_3? Then waiting for 30minutes, after then watch the suntop again to see if it/ac overcurrent become normal.

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

@b2biznes

It looks like temporary communication loss between gateway and MIs, but I am sure it would not affect the generation record. Because the total generation is counted by Energy+ which is recorded inside of inverters then pass to the gateway once the communication back to functioning.  Could you watch these for more few days?and let us know if it happens frequently and if the generation graphic gets any affected.

@UBNT_Sean

Please help check this.

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

@b2biznes

From your post I found some information that around 10am after the power generation will drop some.

May I ask that does your area nearby have some company, factory or heavy loads like motor, compressor that might make grid have some disturbance?

This information will help us to analysis.

Hello @UBNT-Hyde

We have the heat pump (~~4,5kW)

In the summer he only heats the water and it takes max minutes.

Nearly 1-1.5km there is no industrial company.
The closest transformer is definitely not connected.

We switched to cz_3  around 2pm my time.

After changes on the CZ  see that the individual inverter and arrays work equally.
They work in low sunlight even with power of ~ 5W each.

I know that installation works only a few days, unfortunately the weather at us lately is not the best.

Previously the power generated by the whole installation was very random, now i see depending on the sunshine.

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

@b2biznes For the communication drop, as Bode said, it shouldn't effect production or the graphs for a short dropout like that.   It's definitely a strange occurence though, so can you send me a support file from your gateway?  I'm not sure if the data will still be in the log, but it's worth looking.  Also, if you ever see similar behavior, can you get a support file right after?  You can email the files directly to me: firstname.lastname at ubnt.com, Sean Taylor.

Thank you,

Sean

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

Thanks for the update, we're glad it worked out and that we could help.

For the software, what features are you looking for? With the REST API, it should be easy to get any detailed data you want, and more detail then most other systems.  If you can detail something you'd like added, we can look at the scope to work on it.

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

Hello,

I am really disappointed with the approach to the subject software..

Well that was done so that the microinverters work.

I do not have to write the software myself.

Unfortunately, it may be easy for you, but not for me

Can you explain step by step how to use this REST API?
And show examples of such an implementation.

- Needs a graph with better resolution.

- Displaying historical production (num) not only graphically.

- Average energy production ... daily, monthly, annual.

- efficiency : daily,  monthly,  annual

- total production : lifetime generation total

- Peak Power, Peak time

- CO2 Emissions Saved

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

For examples of the REST API, take a look at this thread:
https://community.ubnt.com/t5/SunMAX/New-Firmware-release/m-p/1827591#M2263
As for other features, it's some we can add. I'm not sure what you're looking for in efficiency, data for solar resource would be needed.

Hello,

a small problem, affter click

unavailable.JPG

www gateway - unavailable

ERR_TIMED_OUT

Maybe Ubiquiti planning a new soft in the near future?

And back to the data collection,
Can you send a solution to download all data from the gateway

and / or save it to the database

Maybe a simple way" form a www" and export them to a file >?
Or peer-to-peer monitoring services
(A simple form for communication with external servers).

Data-collection.JPG

What is the problem in preparing a similar product for sunMAX?

>?

You have the software
People who know it and have programming knowledge

Created a good application

What is the problem?

Think of these devices as SM-MI-250 Micro InverterThink of these devices as SM-MI-250 Micro Inverter

- in the  MAP add  locations (or photo) and draw Array.

Re: sunMAX Software for Monitoring, Design, Sales & Permitting

@b2biznes For any issues/questions, can you start a new topic so it's more organized and easier for other people to search?

For the "bad gateway" issue, what browser? Have you tried a full refresh, or different browser? I haven't had any reports of that issue, or experienced it myself. Can you post any screenshot?

For other software, there are definitely some features I'd like to add, especially the data download as a CSV.

I am having issues getting to  "sunlink.ubnt.com". It redirects me to "www.ubnt.com/sunmax/sunmax/". I have tried this in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Is it no longer available or just down temporarily?
