PoE IoT weather station

Hello.  I realize this question has been asked here before, but many of the products mentioned on those old posts are discontinued, and even the discontinued ones do not seem to exactly match what I am hoping to find.

I am curious if there are any PoE IoT weather stations out there?  I don't want it to depend on connecting to a running computer on the network as the AccuRite stations appear to require.  I want it to directly submit its data to wunderground etc..  I would also like for it to be PoE so that I might have a good excuse to also setup a nice outdoor Ubiquiti AP in the same place Man Very Happy

Any suggestions?

Re: PoE IoT weather station

If you do hear of something like this, please let me know! I have only seem homemade devices from Raspberry Pi's and similar (nothing wrong with that) but nothing out of the box. You can power a Pi with PoE if you have a splitter device for it.

Re: PoE IoT weather station

If you want Wunderground to accept the data stream,

I believe they only accept certain brands/types of

weather station. I don't know if there's a universal

standard data format for these, but I doubt it.   Dave

It's up to the weather station to support WU's schema http://wiki.wunderground.com/index.php/PWS_-_Upload_Protocol

Re: PoE IoT weather station

Sounds like a plan!

Is there a Raspberry-PI / Arduino implementation?    Dave
