BUG invoice item label new service

in 2.15.0-beta7 there is no way you can add an invoice item label to a new service.

I assume the field 'custom name' is intended for that. But when you enter something there it is not shown on the invoice. So you have to edit the service afterwards to add the invoice item label.

Then when you do that it changes the complete service invoicing when the initial invoice has already been made. And then when you try to change the invoice by letting UCRM recreate it, the invoice is deleted all together.

You can configure the service's invoice item label here:

Not sure, what exactly happened here. Modifying the label doesn't delete your invoices. Can you please provide us with more details, screenshots of how to reproduce this issue?

This is what happened: when we set an invoice item label with a new service it was not present once saved.

We had not noticed this but all of a sudden we saw that the newest services were like that when we looked at the invoices that were created by UCRM. The item label was default. Not the one we had set.

The installation fee and initial invoice pro rated was calculated and sent correctly by UCRM.

And then as soon as we enter the invoice item label (modify the service) the installation fee was gone in the invoices that were not altered by us.

UCRM just deleted the installation fee.

Only the pro rated remains in the invoice. No way of getting it back because when we tried to get the installation fee back by editing again, the pro rated was gone.

We eventually deleted the service and invoice and made a new service all together from the service we were having this problem with.
We have seen this strange behaviour twice and stopped modifying.

In the meantime we are no longer on that beta but on 2.16.0-beta2. But very reluctant to try it again.

@jma could you please describe how to reproduce this issue step by step? We couldn't reproduce any of these issues.
1/ The custom invoice label should always be saved correctly and applied to every newly created invoice.
2/ UCRM never modifies already created invoices automatically.

If you are facing some error like this, please help us investigate this by describing the steps to reproduce it.

With our previous beta it was not. 


2/ UCRM never modifies already created invoices automatically.

 

We had to add the custom invoice label with edit once the service was created. As soon as we did that the initial invoice changed. We also find no way to recreate the invoice as before. The installation fee was gone. And then when we tried to edit it again, the installation fee was in the invoice and the pro rated calculation was present in the service details but not in the invoice. No way to get both in the invoice again.
