UCRM not starting

Hi,

I put UCRM on a Debian 8 on Proxmox VM...worked well, except the mailer was saying is was not resolving the smtp server.   After reading, I thought it was the docker-compose.yml file needed checking/changing for the ports we put the application to...went in and changed the second port setting to match with what we have in app, but now it won't web in.  I put the backup .yml back into place, and it still won't start.

Any advice to get me back to web access.  Then I can try and sort the mailer out again.

Thanks.

Re: UCRM not starting

Hello @tuckerdog, please post the content of the docker-compose.yml file you are using and the result of the "sudo docker ps" command.

Further you can try removing the UCRM docker containers and booting them anew with the following set of commands:

cd /home/ucrm
sudo docker-compose stop
sudo docker-compose rm
sudo docker-compose up -d

You can check boot logs of UCRM with "sudo docker logs ucrm_web_app_1".

Re: UCRM not starting

OK...got back in with web.

I can't seem to figure this mailer out. This is the error.

Connection could not be established with host smtp@XXXXXX.XX [php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name does not resolve #0]

I've pinged the smtp name from the cli, it resolved and responded.

Re: UCRM not starting

@tuckerdog  What smtp host are you using? Can you post screenshot of your mailer configuration?

Also since you can ping it from the server UCRM is on, could you try pinging it from within the UCRM docker container?

# connect to UCRM docker container shell
sudo docker exec -ti ucrm_web_app_1 sh
# ping your SMTP host
ping your-host-url.com
# exit the container shell
exit

Re: UCRM not starting

@tuckerdogAlso can you please post the contents of your docker-compose.yml file? You can find it on the UCRM server in /home/ucrm.

Re: UCRM not starting

It pings from the docker, with resolution.

Can I mail the docker file to you?

Thank-you @UBNT-Ondra for showing my my great lack of typing skills in my setup.

Re: UCRM not starting

I have a machine in virtualbox but I do not start the application on the web page, it is on, I can enter by ssh but still not starting, perform the steps indicated above but still does not work, what can I do? Is the system that I have in production with the clients, is it possible to recover it? I hope you can help me, thank you very much.

Re: UCRM not starting

Hi @paezdaniel100 , first you may try to check the internet connection of your machine. Then you can ssh into the machine and try these to debug the issue, please send us the output:
sudo docker info
sudo docker ps
sudo docker logs ucrm_web_app_1

If you see no containers running, please try to start them up:
cd /home/ucrm
sudo docker-compose stop
sudo docker-compose rm
sudo docker-compose up -d
