disable tax in a service that is added to a client

[ Edited ]

We sell services that normally are tax included. For some clients (in another country) the same service needs to be without VAT.

So we have entered these clients with setting 0% VAT by default.

Yet in UCRM it is not possible to change a service when you add it to a client.
Tax list then mentions the default tax and is not changeable. It says: Tax is already configured for the selected service plan. If you want to specify a different tax, use a service plan without any tax configured.
That is not very usable.
Can you please change this so that we can still choose tax 0% for certain clients for an existing service?

We have been trying this in every possible way and there clearly is something missing for us.

- Our system is set tax included

- Then when you make a service plan and you set it to be not taxable it still says 'tax included'.

- When you try to 'add' tax it is no longer possible. Even if you then choose tax for a specific client it keeps the price (that was entered as not taxable) and makes the item the same price tax included for that client.

We need to be able to exclude the automatic calculated tax for some clients.

In Europe you have to sell tax included in your own country and the prices have to be exactly as mentioned, that is why we choose UCRM to use 'tax included' in the general pricing settings.
Yet when you sell to a client in another European country it has to be without tax.

This is not possible for us with UCRM now unless we change everything to tax excluded. And we really do not want to do that again. We had too many problems with the rounding before and then had to change to tax included.

So please make it possible to 'disable' the tax client specific.

Re: disable tax in a service that is added to a client

Hi, let me give you some answers to your issues:

1) yes, you should stick to "tax inclusive" pricing mode, if you are in EU.

2) even in "tax inclusive" mode, some service plans or products can be assigned with no tax. This is totally ok. (although, yes, we could hide the "tax included" tooltip when there is actually no tax - thanks for the heads up)

3) The issue of "overriding service's tax when the related service plan has some tax assigned"
- you are right this is currently not allowed. We will look into it and we will probably change it and allow you to do it. Additionally, we plan to handle "reverse charge" which is very similar to this issue - such a reverse charge client would receive invoices with 0% tax (+ additional info on the invoice pdf)

I hope I didn't miss any of your comments, otherwise please let me know.

Re: disable tax in a service that is added to a client

@UBNT-Petr  That's great. At this moment we have created two versions of a service. One for EU companies and another one for our own country and non EU companies or private EU clients (who have to pay taxes). That last one is with VAT, the first one without. That way it already works for us but naturally we have a lot of duplicate services. So looking forward to these improvements.
