Connecting ER-X to unms: nat and hostname and port

For test, I have a couple of internal devices connecting to local UNMS (all on 10.x.x.x network)

Now I want to connect an external device.

I changed UNMS port to 8xxx, this works fine for local devices

I mapped this port OK on router

Internal hostname is unms.mydomain.local

However, I can't get device to connect.

I tried

-adding a unms.mydomain.com name in public DNS pointing to WAN IP,  and I tried to register with external name

-added entry to local hosts file on ER, so  unms.mydomain.local points to  WAN IP,  and I tried to register with internal name

In tcpdump, I do so packets flowing back and forth.  show unms status is stuck on connecting.

Is NAT supported?  Is it required that host name matches?

Re: Connecting ER-X to unms: nat and hostname and port

got it figured out.

The device was reset to defaults,  but previously, it was connected using a different key.

After removal of that key, the device is unms connected, through NAT  , and using public hostname
