EdgeRouter Doesn't Appear in UNMS

We have a new UNMS install with no devices connected to it yet. I've updated an EdgeRouter PoE to 1.9.7 and manually setup the UNMS connection on the EdgeRouter. The EdgeRouter has a checkbox showing it's connected, however no devices appear in the UNMS controller. Please advise.

I checked all placed and don't see the device listed anywhere to authorize.

Re: EdgeRouter Doesn't Appear in UNMS

@gibbmatthew

Hi Matt, could you please check:

  • basic tips in this wiki page
  • if you have UNMS KEY:
    wss://DOMAIN:PORT+XXXXX+allowSelfSignedCertificate
    or
    wss://DOMAIN:PORT+XXXXX
you have to be able access your UNMS with
    https://DOMAIN:PORT
in your browser. ( I suppose that you don't have custom inform port or reverse proxy )
  • if you have untrusted certificate ( your DOMAIN is for example IP ) then your UNMS key has to include allowSelfSignedCertificate
  • you have to be able: ping DOMAIN from your device ( check firewall, VPN connection etc. )
  • you have to be able to check your UNMS SSL certificate from your device:
    openssl s_client -connect DOMAIN:PORT
  • your device has correct time

If this doesn't help just send me your device logs. My email is jindrich.flidr@ubnt.com Thank you.

Device connection looks ok. Could you please email me (jindrich.flidr@ubnt.com) your UNMS logs?

This bug will be fixed in UNMS 0.9.0.

Your device can't ping my.unms.domain:443. Could you please check it?
