LED Controller vs iOS App

Hi,

I just ordered two LED lights and a dimmer switch for my homelab closet and I'm trying to understand the controller setup.

Is it true that I can control them directly from the iOS app without the Ubuntu Controller being installed on the network?

If not, can someone direct me to how to setup that controller on an OSX machine?

I have the standard UniFi Controller running perfectly there, but I wasn't clear on the requirements for the LED controller as it looks like it needs to be installed on an Ubuntu machine?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

You can control the lights directly from the iOS app, no controller needed.

I have 4 of the POE Led lights and two wall dimmers. I can control them from either dimmer and the iOS app.

Re: LED Controller vs iOS App

The App works with the Controller. The controler requierments are either Ubuntu or Debian OS. So with your iMac you would need either to run "bootcamp", "Parrelles", "VMware" to host it on a Mac.
