Bind Unifi controller to specific IP-addres(ses)

Submitted by -
Status: Duplicate

Allow the controller to bind to specific IP-addres(ses).

Currently it is only possible to change the port numbers, not the IP-addresses (it binds to all available addresses).

Without this, you can not run Unifi & mFI controller on the same server.

Because of the STUN server collision.

I don't see why that should be a problem... and not everyone is using mFI... no one will force you to bind to a specific address if the option exists (just like no one forces you to choose other ports because it is possible).

@UBNT-MikeD We're running 3.2.1 here. I tried both (v2 and v3) methods as you indicated above and as outlined in this knowledge base entry, to bind to a single IP address. Neither method worked. unifi.http.port and unif.https.port are set to 80 and 443, respectively. Here is truncated output from netstat -a, indicating the Unifi Controller is binding on all addresses:

Active Connections

  Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
  TCP    0.0.0.0:80             FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    0.0.0.0:443            FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    0.0.0.0:8843           FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    0.0.0.0:8880           FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    127.0.0.1:27117        FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    [::]:80                FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    [::]:443               FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    [::]:8843              FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING
  TCP    [::]:8880              FAKEHOSTNAME1:0      LISTENING

 I can't locate server.xml, which should be another option for configuring the Tomcat daemon to bind to a specific address.

What about HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apache Software Foundation\Procrun 2.0\UniFi\Parameters\Start\Params or some other registry key thereabouts? Can we set something in there to configure address binding?

Thank you!
