Support DNS-over-TLS

Status: New Idea

Cloudflare recently published their DNS resolver openly under 1.1.1.1:

For fully preventing plaintext DNS queries over the public internet, one would require a DNS resolver to support DNS-over-TLS or DNS-over-HTTPS. As such, it would be great if USG could support DNS-over-TLS: https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/dns-over-tls/

Could we please refrain from posting "+1" comments? That's what the "Kudos" is for. I subscribe to this feature request because I'm interested in new information regarding it, the +1 don't contribute to this issue being implemented and ends up spamming the inbox of anyone who is interested (myself included).

I also would like DNS over TLS since it's supported by Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, and OpenDNS.

I would love to see this option added to the USG as well.

@J0N4TH4N

nice - glad to know it can be done, hopefully it becomes a stock feature and not user-implemented.

Came here to see if this was already supported in Unifi and ran into this post.  Please add.
