UAP-AC-IW VLAN support on LAN ports

My suggestion is to add VLAN support for LAN ports on UAP-AC-IW.

Both ports on AC-IW should be assignable at least as untagged ports.

You can already choose a single VLAN to pass through untagged. It's under AP Config -> Services -> Port VLAN.

What would be awesome though is if in addition to choosing the untagged vlan we could choose VLAN's to pass through tagged. It is currently possible to enable this manually (non-persistent) on the UAP-IW by issuing the command "/bin/ethreg --vlan_add -i eth0 -p 2 -v 100" on the AP. It would be nice to have this in the GUI as a persistent option.

I'm setting up 35 UAP-AC-IW in next weeks that broadcast two SSIDS/VLANs, "staff" and "students".

I need the lan ports of the UAP-AC-IW to be on the "students" vlan.

Is it currently possible?

@diddacloud

Yes this is possible. On the lan ports you can assign separate untagged VLAN's. I would like to have to the option to tagg VLAN's on the lan ports as I have a switch connected to the lan port of the UAP-AC-IW and in that switch I would like to separate VLAN's but this is not possible.

@dandavis

Can you explain how to enable this manually ? (so passthrough tagged VLAN 10, 30 and 40 for example)

@dandavis @TomdH If you're interested, the latest 5.9.x beta controller software supports trunk port configs on the AC-IW (so an untagged VLAN and multiple tagged VLANs)

Thanks, the new 5.9 beta controller works indeed

Thank you all for great inputs.

Is it likely that the beta 5.9.* controller will be a stable release before the end of this year?
