How to give access to live or recorded camera images and nothing else ?

Hello,

I'm completely new to Unifi Protect.

I installed 1.6.0 on a lab setup with a single camera at the moment.

I would like to implement a Viewer role with which someone can view live or recorded images but cannot change settings.

Is Cloud Access required for this or is a UBNT client software mandatory for this ?

Best regards

Hi @oliv,

You can configure view-only accounts both for all cameras, as well as custom roles for individual cameras, by adding the new user via the mobile apps. Access via the web interface will be added at a later date.

Yes, using Unifi Protect Android app, I could allocate existing ViewOnly role a a given user.

A Role edition form allowed finer grain control.

Thanks again
