Router Swap NEW DHCP

Hey guys,

i am going to swap my linksys WRT 3200 ACM with a german modem router.

The DHCP Server is going to bew swapped to, which brougth me up some questions.

I am using Unifi Protect with Autoupdate enabled so i am on the newest version.

Question: If i swap the Router, will Unifi Protect obtain the new IP´s from the new router?

If yes, i will do the swap in the next days.

If no, do i have to give static IP´s? Protect already adopted the cameras with DHCP-given IP´s.

The new Router will be configured the same way the old was. Same Config same everything.

Best regards from germany and thanks for help.

Re: Router Swap NEW DHCP

@Fabevette everything should be automatic.

We use DHCP for almost all of our test systems here. The cameras will automatically reconnect as long as they're in the same subnet.

Re: Router Swap NEW DHCP

Thank you, I was a bit frustrated seeing people giving static IP‘s to every device and having problems with other routers. I will switch my router the next days and will give feedback
