Move WANs into Networks for improved flexibility

Status: Implemented

Move WAN configuration into Networks section to improve flexibility, so interface purposes aren't fixed. e.g. allow WAN2 port to be configured as a LAN if desired, allow multiple VLAN config on a WAN, etc.

@panthergm not sure which part you're talking about, the request here is to allow using any interface for any purpose (LAN or WAN), rather than forcing LAN or WAN usage for each NIC.

Would really like to see all 4 ports on the USG Pro configurable as WAN or LAN and link SPF ports either way. I have 24 port Unifi switches that connect via SFP but I have to go back to copper to get to a USG. Honestly, not sure why it's not 1 WAN Link to an SFP and 1 LAN linked to an SFP out of the gate, you put SFP on the switches.

@UBNT-cmb any update or ETA on this feature? I'm really looking forward to this and would love to have a guestimate of when we might be able to use the SFP ports to run to our USW or a USW-XG

@UBNT-cmb any update on when this will be implemented? Have a project that will require this feature.

@brycew Mee too.

I think that didn't makes sense, the SFP port be a only WAN mode.
The option for configure that LAN, Link Aggregation, and other functions are important in my point of view.

my 10 cents

@UBNT-MikeD @UBNT-cmb Any update on this feature and when it will be available?

This would be brilliant. The USG Pro really does need the SFP slots to be assignable to either WAN or LAN.

I need this to defend the use of Ubnt.

A year has passed and this is still not implemented?
