Can the USG be accessed directly (no controller) via web browser?

If so, how\where can the password be configured?

Reset the USG if you want to change the password without a controller.

Access the USG at 192.168.1.1 to be able to set up the WAN connection details.

You can SSH into the USG as well, but you need to know the login credentials from the controller (or, reset the USG so that it's 'ubnt/ubnt').

It was my understanding that the device password is the same as the controller password, but it doesn't appear to work. The controller is on a laptop that is currently offsite.

Inside the controller, there is a place to set device passwords. Perhaps that was done, and it's set to something other than the controller password.

Either reset the USG to gain access with 'ubnt/ubnt', or go get that laptop.

Re: Can the USG be accessed directly (no controller) via web browser?

Thanks for your help! The "Device Authentication" setting does control direct access. I've since looked at several of our recent deployments and none of them use the same password as the controller, as I was led to believe. They all use some random set of characters for device authentication, which is actually a good thing! (As long as you have the password documented Man Happy)

We will be migrating all sites to the cloud soon so this won't be an issue in the future anyway.

Thanks again!
