Having an issue updating a US-16-150W switch.

I've tried the upgrade button and doing a custom upgrade with both failing.

The error in /var/log/messages is -

If anyone is missing switch SNMP data for CPU/MEM/Temp, they seem to have changed the base OID back to the one before 4.0.5 (or so). E.g. this should work for CPU now:

# snmpwalk -v2c -c*** 192.168.*.241 iso.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.1.1.4.9.0
iso.3.6.1.4.1.4413.1.1.1.1.4.9.0 = STRING: " 5 Secs ( 9.4341%) 60 Secs ( 10.661%) 300 Secs ( 11.3615%)"

Experienced an issue on UniFi Switch 16 POE-150W with LAG:

After successful upgrade and reboot 2 out of 5 configured 2 Port LAGs did not successfully re-negotiate and came up with a status of both links up, but with only one active LAG member ports.

The 2 LAGs not correctly running had 1 server running CentOS 6 (Copper) and 1 Cisco Switch (Fibre) on the other end of the LAG which were running fine for months. Restarting the network on the server and resetting the ports on the Cisco Switch did fix the issue.

Check your LAGs (if you use them) after upgrade to be safe Man Wink

Tried to upgrade to 4.0.21.9965, but its stuck at 3.7.29.5446.  It now shows the Unifi Switch 24 as CONNECTED(UPDATE REQUIRED).  I power cycled the switch, but still no luck upgrading.

[ Edited ]

This update broke our 10G SFP interswitch links (48POE to 48 NON POE) and our 10G server ethernet link.

We have had rewire to 1G ethernet ports until we can work out what went wrong.

Update: Updating the controller software and replugging in the SFP interface solved the problem. Can anyone tell me if the controller software has to be the latest before update. (If that was the case, the controller software should refuse to allow firmware updates until a controller update is done)

Re: [FIRMWARE] 4.0.21.9965 for UAP/USW has been released | Stable

I had the latest controller update (on my cloud key), and it still broke the link on one of my UniFi Switch 8 POE-150W SFP uplinks. All the other 6 SFP Uplinks were fine, on other Switch 8s, 16s, 48s, and XG's,  I'm getting pretty used to SFP failing in most firmware updates now, so I don't really stress, just a few unplugs, replugs, make sure my port speeds are set, and it usually works, it's annoying though. And I could see how it could cause some people issues, especially in remote offices etc.

Any news on the IPTV problem with this fw? The latest FW that works on my 24p is 3.9.54.

Just upgraded a XG on a remote site and it didn't restart which now means the whole site is down Smiley Sad all the other switches did though

All these years and I still can't trust firmware upgrades...

Edit - got someone on site to power cycle for me and the XG is still dead Man Sad Yay

Edit 2, looking at it further it looks like it's the main fibre uplink SFP+ to SFP+  that's not working

@caffrey I no longer do ops and support but man in my days we used something called a console server with a dedicated ISP link :-) It saved me 90% of the time

This was more physical, unplugged the SFP and replugged it in started working straightaway

I could do with setting up a copper failover on that link not sure if I can do that though with unifi (Not a lag) As it is a single point of failure
