*This firmware is meant to be a one file solution that works with all models of UniFi switch. You can use it when upgrading from 3.9.40+ only. It will not work when upgrading from earlier releases.

I also saw this mentioned in the .9373-release, and only after I upgraded three US-8-60W that had 3.8.xx firmware on it. The firmware took some time (ca. 7-10 minutes), but they eventually came up fine.

The .9373 release was available in the controller (5.8.xx on UCK 0.11.0) which is why I upgraded.

So, why did it work, given it shouldn't according to the quote? Man Wink

I am new to how releases work - when does this show up automatically in web gui as something that I can click "update" for?

I know i can download it and then load it, but curious how it works automatically. I have automatic updates off, but I assume this moves from candidate to full release, and then it shows up?

"When there is a new release in the community, it typically will be in the form of a Stable Candidate. This is a release that should be good for the next Stable release. It is released to the community only, and only available via the blog post.

Assuming there aren't any major issues discovered, that version will be re-released as Stable exactly one week after it is released as a Stable Candidate. This initial Stable release will also be available only in the community blog post. One week from the time a release goes stable, it will be pushed to the download site, Debian/Ubuntu/Cloud Key repos, etc."

Thanks for the link and information. I had a feeling that was the case, but wasn't sure where to look.

Everything seems to be running well after upgrade from 4.0.5.

CKGen 2 running 5.9.32

1x 250w 24 port

1x USG 3P

2x UAP-AC-Pro

Will report back if issues occur.

Re: [FIRMWARE] 4.0.9.9636 for UAP/USW has been released | Stable Candidate

All updated fine but there is some garbage in the syslog that wasn't there before updating...

<14>1 2018-12-05T10:04:51+00:00 192.168.0.5 U7LT,788a20508e6d,v4.0.9.9636 - - - U7LT,788a20508e6d,v4.0.9.9636: libubnt[2770]: wevent.ubnt_handle_custom_alert_sta_assoc(): EVT_AP_STA_ASSOC_TRACKER_DBG: event_id: 1 event_type: failure vap: ath0 sta_mac: XX:XX:69:4b:9b:ba auth_ts: 136893.444681 auth_delta: -1 assoc_delta: -1 wpa_auth_delta: -1 radius_auth_delta: -1 radius_auth_status: N/A ip_delta: -1 disassoc_count: 0 ip_assign_type: N/A auth_failures: 0 assoc_failures: 0 wpa_auth_failures: 0 ip_failures: 0 acl_status: blocked arp_status: N/A dns_status: N/A

repeats every 30 seconds or so and clogs up the syslogs and the server.

What is it and how do we get it turned off?

USG 3

AP-Lite

SW 60 POE x 3

Going have to revert to a previous version if there isn't a way to turn it off, you can't see the 'proper' information in the logs.

[UAPG2/G3] Fix Fast Roaming support.

Roaming from UAP-HD A to B while having an active voice call on HTC U11 Android 8.0 device still hickups the call for about 3 seconds. So no improvement to 3.9.54.

Re: [FIRMWARE] 4.0.9.9636 for UAP/USW has been released | Stable

This firmware has been moved to stable status, with the exception of HD/SHD/XG/BaseStationXG. We'll be posting 4.0.10 shortly (initially as a stable candidate), which likely will replace 4.0.9 as the current stable in the near future.

Cheers,

Mike

My us-8-60w updated this firmware, and then IPTV doesn't work. but I downgrade to v3.9.x, IPTV works again.

My IPTV receives stream via igmpproxy. so, it must have some bugs or changes related mulicasting.
