Monitoring client port traffic on Switch 8

Hi,

I have a Switch 8:

https://www.ubnt.com/unifi-switching/unifi-switch-8/

At the moment that is the only Unify/Ubiquity device on my network.

With only that device I can login to the Unify Controller on my PC on that network and see the Swithc 8 listed. It shows a total traffic up and down for that switch (see screenshot) but I cannot find any way to drill in to that and see which ports that traffic is coming through. Should I be able to do that with this setup or do I need a USG or EdgeRouter?

Thanks,

Roger.

Re: Monitoring client port traffic on Switch 8

Fantastic, thank you!

It is only showing statistics as of opening that page, not since the switch was started. Is that normal for it to only show information acquired while on the page?

Thanks,

Roger.

@rogerg_au

Hi, the switch can't memorize the statistics, the controller does, is your controller running 24/7?

Re: Monitoring client port traffic on Switch 8

Ahh, of course. Ok, the start of history would correlate with starting the controller. Thanks.
