Hi I'm curious if the USG has functionality similar to Meraki's Auto-VPN. We are looking for a solution where we could hand a user a piece of hardware to bring out to a site that tunnels itself back to home. Any input would be great. Here is Meraki's solution: https://meraki.cisco.com/technologies/auto-vpn

Do you have some more information like config samples or someting like that?
It would be Interesting with L2TP over IPSec or OpenVPN. doesn't really matter.

A preadopted and configured USG would work for sure. You will just have to use a different "site" on the controller for each USG, obviously. It could be tricky to pre-setup the VPN thing, but once eveything is setup it will auto-VPN to the configured unit, so you would have on HQ site and lots of "branch" sites each with it's own USG, preconfigured with VPN back to the HQ USG.
This is the most simple, straightforward way obviously, for people that doesn't know, and doesn't want to know how the whole solution really works(USG will use OpenVPN BTW), as long as it works. If I had to do this myself, I would setup everything manually using only edgerouters.

This is exactly the info I needed.
In my case I would pair the edgerouter with a WiFi access point. This way the users have a router with the possibility to connect wired or connect wirelessly over the AP.
