How as a network admin am I supposed to diagnose network throughput issues with a USG Pro when a director is complaining of video quality without the ability to instantly diagnose heavy users?

I'm attempting to diagnose some wireless throughput issues on certian devices and the inability to see instant realtime throughput on a per client basis is really, really disappointing.

Followup, I managed to get iftop installed..
- ssh to email@example.com
- curl http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/iftop/iftop_1.0~pre4-2_mips.deb > iftop.deb
- sudo dpkg -i iftop.deb
iftop_1.0~pre4-2_mips.deb comes from http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/i/iftop/ ( used trial and error to get the "right" package ).
I'm not sure its really working though, as the numbers showing up in iftop do not match at all what I'm seeing in the GUI.

At the very least, how about making it so that when you point a browser to the USG directly, you can get real-time stats there instead of from the controller pane, if that is where the challenge lies?

+1 Me too. Can't belive they haven't created any sort of better graphical interface for real time bandwidth monitoring both internet and local area. Need to be able to see specific device Internet Upload & Download per second or at least per minute. Also I don't know why the UniFi AP-AC-Pro don't show their wireless clients internet down & up statistics. Ubiquity has such a nice system, but I feel like this is such a big oversite. They should make and interface similar to Asus and what they have on their RT-AC68U which I have at home which has a nice QOS page with all the devices on the network which specific internet bandwidth usage which is accruate to within a few seconds.

Opnsense has one of the nices and most compact yet data-rich bandwidth meters I've come across. I'd kill for a view like this in Unifi. In particular, I love the individual graphs for each client/device. A significant improvement over pfSense's traffic graph.
