Installed the update, no issues, everything seems fine. Finally a UCK firmware with 5.6.x controller!

I updated to 5.6.22 I changed the preference/ stats time zone/ to site's, now after over an hour all traffic, performance, switch are just spinning wheels and do not display data.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

I had the same issue right after install.  It took me rebooting the entire system to get it functioning normally.  I probably could have gotten away with just rebooting the cloudkey, but i was having issues with a few cameras being off line too.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

Second cloud key stuffed on this firmware.

Install a brand new cloud key after the settings menu not being responsive on the first cloud key. I've went to update the firmware, restored the configuration from a 5.6.22 install and now the settings section is non-responsive.

Even after resetting the cloud key and having basic information initially inputted, the unit is dead in the water.

Seems there is a significant issue with this firmware that is just killing cloud keys.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

[ Edited ]

Discovered this as well -

When running the command -

ubnt-systool fwupdate https://dl.ubnt.com/unifi/cloudkey/firmware/UCK/UCK.mtk7623.v0.8.2.c653dde.171107.2039.bin

You get the error message -

/sbin/ubnt-systool: 221: [: /boot/fwupdate.bin: unexpected operator

When trying to update 0.8.2 over itself.

Line 221 in the script is -

[ "/boot/fwupdate.bin" == "${file}" ] || return 0

The line should be -

[ "/boot/fwupdate.bin" = "${file}" ] || return 0

Altering the file and re-running the command allows the update to work successfully.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

Is there a firmware update that will resolve the Unifi DB being corrupted upon power loss when Cloud Key is not procedurally shut down in Controller?

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

After upgrading my two CloudKeys to v0.8.2 I now can't SSH into them nor can I login into the UniFi CloudKey web interface with my login. I can login to the UniFi Controller v5.6.22 just fine via the web interface.

Any one have any ideas how to fix this other than a factory reset and a backup restore as I REALLY need to be able to SSH into these things.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

I would go for a reset and loading up a backup,.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

The cloudkey has a hardcoded user of ubnt even if you change the setting in the GUI for ssh thats only for you other devices the cloudkey is stuck with that username. I'm pretty sure its a bug.

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

Dear @wizard155

Can you share me your backup file in PM ?

I'm trying to find the root cause of this settings issue, however can't reproduce this in lab env .
What kind of devices do you have on site ? What's FW version of your devices ?

This server log error printed just after your timeout in browser ? Do have other errors in logs ?

I really appreciate your help with that .

Re: UniFi Cloud Key firmware 0.8.2 has been released

Strange how Ubiquiti never acknowledges a bug but suddenly a new firmware comes out and it "fixes" an issue that was reported. I have 3 Cloud Keys which has been rendered useless because of Ubiquiti's constant incompetance in releasing buggy firmware! Their usual response is - just reset and restore from a backup!

This is a known bug. See https://community.ubnt.com/t5/UniFi-Updates-Blog/UniFi-Cloud-Key-firmware-0-8-7-has-been-released/ba... for update instructions if you're on firmware 0.8.1 - 0.8.4.
