Unifi Switch looses config when adopting on another controller

As it says on the subject. Not impressed with this. We had 30 ports set for 24v on a local controller. Did a L3 adoption to our main controller and it lost all its setting including port names.

Not impressed. Surely there should be a way to migrate rather wipe?

Re: Unifi Switch looses config when adopting on another controller

Unfortunately there's nothing to be impressed with anyway, since configurations are stored on the controller, not on the devices theirselves. This happens to ANY device on the UniFi line, so if you move it to another controller, you are essentially wiping out any current configuration and applying the new site's configuration. This would happen even moving devices to another site on the same controler, so if you need to move a switch, then you have to reconfigure it, but you can copy the configuration from an already adopted and configured switch on that particular site if you want.
