Unifi minimum hardware requirements

Hello everyone
I need a computer to use as a "server" with unifi server.
I had thought of a mini pc ... the generic characteristics are:
Intel Baytrail Z3735 quad-core
2 GB of DDR3 RAM
32 GB of eMMC
I used the unifi server on similar computers, I should have no problem right?
is there anything I should know about minimum requirements etc?

Thank You

I ran 4.6.6 on a raspberry pi, I'm sure you will be fine.

It worked OK? Man Happy

What was you build steps? Can you share? What was you SD/USB arrangement?

I'm wanting to do this too and if anyone has ideas about tried and tested products out there which can take PoE from the patch lead to power the Pi too, that would be useful?

Thanks.

Re: Unifi minimum hardware requirements

Haven't done it yet. Will look into it later in the year (lots of building work happening at my lace right now!!!).

Will post info when I do it.

Currently running 4.6.6 on a Ubuntu 14.4 LTS VM on a QNAP TS-251 NAS which is working great.

Thanks... I'm going to fire up a new AWS install shortly and will also report back... I originally wanted to use my Synology but then shifted to AWS instead

Re: Unifi minimum hardware requirements

Or use the little Alix boards with a Linux distro on it. LiNiTx actually sell them as UniFi controllers pre load in UK for around £115.
