"The Gateway is unable to connect to the internet" during initial setup

I am trying to set up a new unifi USG router. I have logged into the console and changed the MAC address to match my old router. When I log into the web interface, I see that it has correctly pulled my static IP address, subnet, gateway and DNS server addresses, but unfortunately I am getting the "The Gateway is unable to connect to the internet." message.

Any ideas on how I could resolve this issue?

This router is on it's default 192.168.1.x network, my home network is on 10.10.20.x.

I have not connected it to my unifi controller, since I can't get past this step to configure the network.
