Description

hello Everyone,

I recently got another unfi/security job out of my home state.  This time in Las Vegas again.  The end user wanted 5 security cameras installed on their home along with 3 unifi APs.  For this job I decided on 2 AC-LR's and an AC-LITE access point.  The house is very spread out and their regular WRT54G2 was not cutting it for coverage.  I chose the 16 port due to low cost and ability to expand later if need be.  Chose a USG as this is a home install and had no reason to spec out a USG-PRO-4.  Internet service is through Cox.  The Home owner also wanted the coax drop moved from the master bedroom out to the garage which I did.  THe garage was also chosen as the location for all the drops to come to to get their power and data.  I am really glad we did this job in Feburary and not june like the last vegas job I did.  That was too hot to be doing this kind of work.  the Home owner ran all the drops 2 weeks prior which made this job super easy.  We used ICC Connectors, Surface mount boxes, keystones, and punchdown blocks for terminations.  I arrived down friday afternoon and got the majority of everything terminated friday afternoon and evening.  Saturday we got everything mounted and hooked up.  For cameras the Home owner chose grandstream.  I did suggest using the UBNT cameras, but there is a few reasons why they did not want to use them.  If any of UBNT employees want to know please let me know via PM and i can share that.  The owner also chose Milestone for the NVR software.  Everything went off without a hitch until it came to configuring the NVR Software.  Finally after about 3-4 hours we got that resolved too.  The equipment from UBNT went online without any issues or hiccups and install was a breeze.  Wireless coverage is throughout the house and even out on the street from the front door.  Special thanks to the unifi team for making installs super easy on us installers and configuration super easy.

Thanks Guys!

Nice work the only thing I would change is your final patch location. Having all that in a small rack helps protect the equipement and makes it look professional.

Something like a 4U rack would be perfect and cheap. 4U Rack
