Broadband to remote scottish borders building site and house

by 2 weeks ago - last edited 2 weeks ago

Our sister company operates as a private WISP between a number of its properties. In this scenario, we had a new build holiday let in rurarl Northumberland which had no fibre connectivity to the hamlet. Fast broadband was available approx. 800 metres away in line of site.

We secured a donor building and installed a pair of NBE-5AC-19's as a point to point connection.

This connection provided the property with connectivity during the build with the use of an Air Gateway-LR. The property was then fitted with 2 x UAP-AC-LITEs to each floor and 2 x UAP-OUTDOOR+ to cover external areas and a wifi requirement in the garage of the property.

Not bad, but ditch the airgateway and put an ERXSFP in.  airgateway is slow, and with those unifi units you don't need the wireless.
