Description

One thing I noticed is that the switch and the USG were getting very hot, so I decided to put them in a notebook cooler, which solved the heating problem, leaving them more than cold.

I use some cable extender to gice a clean look..

I am waiting for the new nanoHD to appear so I can pick up some and complete my unifi network.

Clean setup. Curious what you need the three instant-af supplies for though; aren’t the CK and IW 802.3af already?

Which notebook cooler is that?

They're not af supplies, just cable extenders that i use to hide different color cables..

Why use a Mesh Pro? I recommend it for outdoors. I would recommand to put a Unifi AP inside. In addition, The Mesh Pro is 360 degrees. On your wall you lose the 360. That's my opinion. Good work.

From one home user to another  Help   and very soory to ambush he thread

I recetly purchased and insattled an AP AC LR to boost the home wifi strength.  It is hardwired to my router and shows a white ring, showing no connectivity, but has power

I have sucessfully loaded the Unifi controller software and registered

On the controller, the AP shows Adoption Faled

Running on Windows so I have freed the firewall and then read I have to download PuTTY to Shss Ping the device

So downloaded Putty, ran it and tried to start, but it wont accept  my IP ?????

Sorry but simple things first, I am a novie so please excuse the silly question:

Do I need any more hardward / switches or is it possible to simply run a hardwired AP to the modem using a Windows O/S ?
