How big are your installs ?

Hi all,

just wondering how big your installs are ?
We are curently operating
1.) a open Hotspot network (no login required, only acceptance of general terms and conditions on captive portal) for 3 different cities
2.) Extra bookable hotspot service for connected cutomers (hotels, restaurant, cafe)
3.) reginoal communal Hotspots

We have currently on 1 controller:
  - 40 sites
  - approx. 450 Accesspoints
  - approx 3.000+ concurrently connected clients
  - approx.18.000+ different (uniqe) clients a day
  - approx. 10.000 logions a day
  - external Portal (tomcat, because we also do radius login on a webform)

What are your sizes and how is your controller load ?
How do you scale ? I am already facing mongo and controller load problems.

I have another (older) story with deployment pictures ...

Hi there,

Just reached out as we can help you tune to controller for handling higher-load like this.  We have several installs doing 1,000+ APs.

For others reading, here are some starters for tuning in for high number of devices:

We're also curious to see which controller version you are running - as the newer releases have a variety of improvements for handling high device counts.
