New Unify Home Setup

by ‎05-15-2017 08:41 AM - edited ‎05-15-2017 08:55 AM

Hi guys!

I recently moved to a brand new house and of course I chose Unifi for my network Ubnt Banana

The network works really well and I have absolutely no heat problems.

My setup is:

UniFi Security Gateway 3P

UniFi Switch 8 POE-150W

UniFi Cloud Key

And 2 UniFi AP-AC-Pro for the wifi, one on each floor.

What do You think about it? Smiley Wink

Nice. I think your vented door (top and bottom) is a great way to passively mitigate heat.

Great setup! I like the color-coded patch cables.

Very neat, the way it should be!

The Wall mount is from a manufacturer here in Sweden called LWB.

Neat setup in a small enclosure. Never seen side mounted patch panel like that. I love how you have squeezed in the USG.

Looks nice!

The only think I would recommend is putting that Unifi switch on top of a couple of shims of some sort to allow airflow to enter the bottom (side) vents and flow through for cooling.  The side orientation like that is great for natural convection cooling - but only if air can get into the vents Man Happy
