Hi all,

We've prepared firmware 3.9.18.8086. Please see below for the changelog and links to the firmware binaries.

Important Upgrade Note:

  • If you are upgrading from firmware versions 3.9.11-3.9.14, and use bandsteering on any second gen device (UAP-AC-Lite/LR/Pro/EDU/M/M-PRO/IW/IW-Pro), then you will need to disable bandsteering, reboot the device, and then run the upgrade. You can re-enable bandsteering once the upgrade is complete. This is a one time process due to a bug introduced in 3.9.11.
  • Firmware versions up to 3.9.10, and 3.9.15 and later are not affected by this bug.

Firmware changes since 3.9.15:

  • [HD/SHD/XG] Stability and performance improvements.
  • [AC-IW/IW-Pro/Pro/EDU/M-Pro] Add ability to set port negotiation.*
  • [nanoHD] Add guest control support.
  • [nanoHD] Add 802.1X support.
  • [nanoHD] Add support for multiple BSSIDs per radio.
  • [nanoHD] Fix issue when using a bracket in the ESSID or PSK.
  • [nanoHD] Fix auto channel selection.
  • [nanoHD] Fix 802.11n negotiation issue.
  • [nanoHD] Fix issue which could cause Ethernet to stay down after provision or reboot.
  • [UAP] Improve STA signal reporting.
  • [UAP] Wireless uplink/mesh V3 improvements.*
  • [UAP] Fix a bug with rate control when using multiple SSIDs.
  • [UAP] Various bugfixes and improvements.
  • [USW] Various improvements.
  • [HW] New procotol implementation.
  • [HW] Add controller support for netconsole.*

*controller support pending.

  • Links pulled due to L3 management issue; will be resolved soon.

Any and all feedback is welcome, including lettings us know about successful device upgrades. When reporting an issue, please ensure that you include the following information:

  1. Controller version.
  2. Firmware version (previous and current).
  3. Device model(s).

The above links are all HTTPS. This assumes your device(s) are currently running at least 3.7.51, and that the device's date is properly set (i.e. it can reach a NTP server). If you encounter issues with the upgrade, or your device isn't on a minimum supported firmware, then you can change the link to HTTP before performing the upgrade.

Cheers,
The UniFi team
