Hi all,

We've prepared firmware Please see below for the changelog and links to the firmware binaries.

Important Upgrade Notes:

  • If you are upgrading from firmware versions 3.9.11-3.9.14, and use bandsteering on any second gen device (UAP-AC-Lite/LR/Pro/EDU/M/M-PRO/IW/IW-Pro), then you will need to disable bandsteering, reboot the device, and then run the upgrade. You can re-enable bandsteering once the upgrade is complete. This is a one time process due to a bug introduced in 3.9.11.
    • Firmware versions up to, and including 3.9.10, and 3.9.15 and later are not affected by this bug.
  • Please make sure to use HTTP for the inform URL. The inform protocol is encrypted whether you use HTTP or HTTPS for the inform URL. Due to the new protocol implementation added in 3.9.16 your devices will end up in a disconnected state in most cases if you use HTTPS.

Firmware changes since 3.9.18:

  • [HD/SHD/XG] Fix a memory leak when multicast enhancements are enabled.
  • [nanoHD] Fix MBSS support.
  • [nanoHD] Stability improvements.
  • [UAP] Fix NAS-IP-Address attribute so that it always returns the management IP of the AP.
  • [UAP] Various bugfixes and improvements.
  • [HW] Fix some issues which would cause L3 adopted devices to show up as disconnected in the controller (reported HERE and HERE).
  • [HW] Fix SNMP sysName.

In case you missed 3.9.18, please see the changelog posted HERE for the changelog since 3.9.15.

Any and all feedback is welcome, including lettings us know about successful device upgrades. When reporting an issue, please ensure that you include the following information:

  1. Controller version.
  2. Firmware version (previous and current).
  3. Device model(s).

Download links to the binaries and checksum files are all HTTPS. This assumes your device(s) are currently running at least 3.7.51, and that the device's date is properly set (i.e. it can reach a NTP server). If you encounter issues with the upgrade, or your device isn't on a minimum supported firmware, then you can change the link to HTTP before performing the upgrade.
