Description

I have a UniFi video system mounted at a mountain top WISP AP site.

Since last night we've had an intense Nor'Easter blow through. Dulles AirPort 15 miles away saw a 71 MPH gust.  The winds have been intense all day with about 55% of the county without power by end of Friday.

The first video below captures the instant a 60ft dead tree blows down and breaks apart on branches as it falls.

The next video captures the conditions at another AP site along the ridge.  This second camera is connected to the Ubiquiti NVR with about 2,800ft of fiber cable.

ER-X SFP's, FiberPOE's and NanoSwitches are used in this outdoor deployment.

Some before and after still captures below.

@computerpathways   Because the trails leading to the site come in that way.

It was a crazy day.  I’m also in Northern Virginia and can attest to the strength of this powerful storm.  Everything was shutdown.

Thanks for sharing.

So, I guess if a tree falls and nobody is there to hear it... it still makes noise.

Cool stuff!
