3.10.1 New Overlays

I see in the release notes info about new on screen overlays to indicate recording status. I've updated two systems to 3.10.1 this morning and we are not seeing the new overlays. What am I missing?

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

You have to change it on each camera.

Funny I just updated and can't see any of that stuff, privacy masking nothing, I have updated 3 systems see none of that stuff on any of them.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

It would appear that nothing has changed in the webapp loaded through the video.ui.com portal.  If you happen to browse to your NVR directly, the webapp should instead load from there and show you the new interface.

Ubiquiti would need to change their portal so the proper version of the webapp is loaded, but that doesn't happen for me yet either.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

Thanks I found the setting. Although it doesn’t seem to change from the white color even though we record full time.

White is what it is supposed to be for FTR.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

Release notes say white is no recording. Green is full time recording.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

For me:

No recording is grey.

FTR is white.

Should be fixed, although it's difficult to get a black on black icon so I just excluded it.

@LLigetfa  thanks, does it all look good now?  I'm pretty sure I lined everything up properly but apparently forgot to change the text.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

I like that it shows when recording, only thing I would love to see in addidtion to that is the ability to force recording to start from the live view if you notice it not recording already (like if there is not quite enough motion to trigger it, but there is something you want recorded regardless).

I witnessed someone breaking into a car, I got their approach and escape, but no motion recording showing them actually in the vehicle to where I could pass info to the police that someone actually entered the vehicle. Had I been able to force the recording, then I would have had the evidence needed. Doing a continuous recording gets a bit encumbersome to filter through when something happens when reviewing 10 minute chunks.

Not so unless you undertake to disable the mocord.  There are still the same motion events even when doing FTR.  It acually is FTR+mocord when FTR is selected.  You find the event with mocord and then fill in the missing pieces from FTR based on the timestamp, assuming you have the OSD timestamp enabled.  Even without the timestamp, it should narrow you down to one specific 10 minute FTR.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

FTR is white for me, even though the blog says its green. Grey is no recording.

White and Grey for me look identical..... I wish the software woudl align with the blog and show FTR as green.

Re: 3.10.1 New Overlays

The blog has been updated to remove the green option. White is the correct color for FTR.
