Unable to acces NVR with cloud account

Since yesterday I cannot acces my and some of my customers NVR by cloud acces. When log in the right NVR shows up and says "loading" or "connecting". It keeps "loading" or "connecting" untill time out error.

With local acces to the NVR it states that I'am connected to the Ubiquiti account.

 

With the App on a Smartphone the same problem.

 

Is there maintenance or work at the servers right now?

After the update to 3.9.12 I was able to disconnect en reconnect to my ubnt cloud account. Since then it worked like a charm.

Normally I would suggest to check https://status.ui.com/ but there is no indication there at this time.

Did check the "status" page on UBNT. It claims that everything is working fine.

 

It's very strange as some NVR/accounts do work and some don't. I tryed many times and even my own private NVR/account did work once. The attemps before and after failed.

 

I can login at several accounts with different sw versions of the NVR and some work and some don't regardless of the sw version.

 

@ITH glad that I'am not alone in this...

Update:

At this moment sometimes I can connect to a NVR but most of all it keeps loading.....

 

With the App and with Chrome on a W10 pc same results.

I also am unable to access via the NVR cloud access from a browser.

 

However, the iOS app access is working.

 

On the browser the activity wheel just keeps on going.

This is continuing to be a problem.

 

I am unable to add new cameras.

 

Is there a way to add cameras via the NVR cli interface?

The described problem has nothing to do with local acces but only cloud acces.

When you are in the same subnet (at the location of the NVR) there's always acces on the direct IP of the NVR. I never had any problems with that other then browser support issues. Chrome works well.

 

When you are public or on a different subnet than you NVR (any other location then your NVR), you have 2 options.

One is connecting the NVR to your UBNT account (cloud acces).

And second port forward the NVR to the outside world and connect to it by it's public IP and port(s).

The port forward/public IP option does always work for me as long as the provider don't changes the public IP of the internet connection.

 

The cloud acces normally does work also fine and you don't have to do port forward. So regardless of the public IP it does work.

I'am reporting problems on this method only right now.

As it sometimes do work but mostly not it aint easy to locate the problem.

Just made an upgrade to 3.9.12 within the NVR menu by local login. After that I made several succesfull logins by cloud acces to my NVR. Can anybody do the same and confirm or deny that it worked for them also?

I upgraded this morning to 3.10.1 and lost all cloud account logins. I had to reconnect my cloud account by logging in locally to the NVR then delete users and re-add them for them to gain access. Nono

Hmmm. Thanks for the ideas.

 

I am also unable to connect locally. I get the following error:

 

This site can’t be reached

1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx refused to connect.

 

I have tried rebooting the nvr multiple times.

 

I have also tried connecting from multiple computers.

I did an ssh terminal session into the nvr and it turns out that after installing 3.10.1 (using the deb) over 3.9.12, no process is listening on the https port. I checked the nginx configuration and there is no site enabled for port 443. The only port 443 in sites-available is the default nginx file and it is commented out.

 

nginx is running and I am able to get in via port 80.

 

Does anyone have a working example of the proper 443 virtual host configuration that I might try using?

Okay, I have realized that contrary to what I read in the documentation, the https is running on 7443. 

 

I am able to login via https on 7443 and add cameras.
