I am a newbie to Unifi Video.
I am using my Qnap Server as NVR (running version 3.8.5 - downloaded as qpkg from QnapClub). In system setting trying to set - Space to keep free - I get the error:
Validation Failed. /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/UnifiVideo/data/videos - path is not accessible. Please correct permisions or ownership and try again.
The path exsists and video is recorded, but I would like to make sure that I reserve space on my HD to other purpose.
Can anyone advice .......

I recently purchased a G3 Flex camera and hoped to use it with the qnapclub qpkg. At first I had an issue with the camera not being recognised because the firmware was later than 3.8.5, but the qpkg package maintainer has very kindly updated it to the latest 3.9.11 and they are now recognised. I wrote a bit about that here.
Everything is generally working, but I am having the exact same issue as you regarding the share path. Additionally because you get that error when trying to save the system configuration settings, I cannot get any change to the NVR name, time-based purging, or Space to keep settings to actually stick.
I am guessing it is something regarding the permissions of that folder and/or the user that the .qpkg runs as, but I'm just not expert enough to know how to fix it. I'm going to ask the maintainer on the qnap forum thread.
